A record-breaking Giving Tuesday: over $150 million donated!This year, the Benevity client community proved once again that purpose is stronger than ever. Despite a challenging economic landscape, you helped facilitate over $150 million in donations to nearly 60,000 nonprofits in 114 countries on Giving Tuesday. That is a massive 7.2% increase in donation volume compared to last year. “The success of this year’s Giving Tuesday is a testament to the generosity that is unlocked when people can connect and engage in the causes that matter most to them. Nearly 16% of donations came from first-time donors, and volunteer participation grew by 9.2%. Begin with small, low-friction programs, test internally, then scale. There was focus on narratives for leadership, risk mitigation and how to position CSR as part of core business strategy.What we learned: Leadership support isn’t a one-time win — it’s sustained through alignment, a refreshed narrative, visible early wins and engaging internal skeptics. 💫 Innovation and experimentationSome clients shared how they piloted new program models (e.g. skills-based volunteering, social procurement, microgrants).
