What's new for Benevity products in JanuaryFind out what’s changed and what’s coming soon across Benevity products this month.VolunteeringNotifications -  opportunity owners and/or contacts when sign up is removedEmail notifications are an important way for organizers to stay up to date on how their events are shaping up without needing to log in. Owners and contacts will soon be receiving email alerts when volunteers remove their signups, as well as receive a running total of signups with each notification so they can stay on top of how many volunteers to expect at their event.Program & Risk Management Expanded featured content carouselThe new expanded featured content section gives program admins who are using stream manager greater flexibility and control to configure and showcase a broader range of content on their homepage. Admins will have the option to select 3, 6 or 9 cards of content to display on their homepage.Grants Management Audit logs for email template changes We've added a new Audit Log feature to Self Serve Manage Emails, giving you full transparency and control. You can now track every change made to your email templates, view who made the update, and easily search, filter, and export the entire history for compliance and security reviews.Nonprofit Experience Streamlined grant application management for nonprofitsThe new grant application management dashboard in the Causes Portal gives your nonprofit partners a single, centralized place to track the status of all their grant applications, providing greater transparency, reducing administrative effort, and helping get your funding to work in the community faster.​​​​​  Upcoming Product ReleasesHere’s a preview of product updates planned for release on February 3. End users have access to Grace, a conversational support bot that provides instant answers to common questions, directly within the platform. Program administrators access the full Resource Center, which includes access to Genie (our admin support bot from the B-Hive) plus additional tools: announcements, the client community, and feedback submission. This integrated approach helps everyone get the most out of your Benevity programs, whether you need quick answers or comprehensive admin resources.GivingNew giving opportunity preview available Administrators will be able to preview the modernized Giving Opportunity experience on January 6th. This update includes a more modern look and feel, enhanced accessibility, and a consolidated manage menu. Administrators can enable the preview via the toggle in their user profile Take action from the homepageA new ‘take action’ section on the homepage offers guided workflows to make it easier for your employees when they want to make a first time donation, or use the rewards they have available. ​​​​Employee MobilizationPre-event surveys in Employee GroupsGroup Leaders can create custom surveys to gather information from attendees at the time they sign up for an event, ensuring they have all the details necessary for their events to be executed successfully.  AnnouncementsReports migration to Reporting StudioWe’re beginning a phased reports transition from legacy reporting systems (Benevity Reporting and Crystal Reports) to our next-generation Reporting Studio. This process will take place gradually to ensure stability and a smooth experience. Here's what to expect:No changes or disruptions to your reports during Giving Season (November - February). Grants Essential reports will begin transitioning in December 2025, with identified clients notified directly. All other reports will follow in later phases, based on product readiness.No action is required at this time - we’ll communicate directly when your reports are ready to move.  Upcoming scheduled outagesJanuary 9 - 11, 2025 additional outageTo facilitate continuous improvements and lay the technical foundation for a smoother overall experience -  including greater efficiencies in data load times -  Benevity Reporting Studio will undergo an extended maintenance period.When: The Reporting Studio will be offline from 5 p.m. PT on Friday, Jan. 9, until 5 p.m. PT on Sunday, January 11, during next month's scheduled maintenance outageJanuary 24, 2026 next scheduled outage We’re performing a scheduled maintenance outage to update Benevity products on January 24. Benevity celebrates over $150 million donated during Giving Tuesday 2025

A record-breaking Giving Tuesday: over $150 million donated!This year, the Benevity client community proved once again that purpose is stronger than ever. Despite a challenging economic landscape, you helped facilitate over $150 million in donations to nearly 60,000 nonprofits in 114 countries on Giving Tuesday. That is a massive 7.2% increase in donation volume compared to last year. “The success of this year’s Giving Tuesday is a testament to the generosity that is unlocked when people can connect and engage in the causes that matter most to them. These moments reconnect and rejuvenate people through their work – on behalf of the world.” - Soraya Alexander, CEO, Benevity. What is even more inspiring is who showed up. Nearly 16% of donations came from first-time donors, and volunteer participation grew by 9.2%. In a world where every dollar counts, your community stepped up to support the causes they care about most — with a donation made nearly every second throughout the day. This year’s highlights include:$150 million+ donated  60,000 global nonprofits 165,000+ individuals participated 7.2% increase in donation volume 23,000+ individual volunteers Top causes supported include: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Room to Read, National Center for Families Learning and United Way Greater Toronto. These tags are designed to enhance organization, making it easier to group, filter and manage your program data effectively. Approval extensions for year end external match requestsApproval extensions allow approval on backdated external match requests against last year’s budget — no rollbacks required. You can now set an approval extension period of up to 90 days to beat the year end rush. Grants ManagementSelf-serve basic user management in Grants Advanced (Versaic) You can now efficiently manage user access yourself by viewing user details, enabling/disabling accounts, triggering password resets, and exporting a full user list for auditing—all without contacting our support team. Direct forms page navigation for Grants Advanced (Versaic)​​We've improved navigation for long forms. You can now quickly jump to any specific section of a form by clicking on the page name at the top of the screen. This enhancement eliminates unnecessary scrolling and makes completing complex applications much faster.
