In this session, Benevity’s Product Content and Client Engagement teams covered how to plan and run a Giving Tuesday campaign (December 1). Two Benevity clients, ENMAX and American Family Insurance, shared what worked in their 2025 campaigns.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why Giving Season matters: Giving Season runs October 1 to December 31 and is anchored by Giving Tuesday. Early planning, incentives like matching and seeding, and sustained momentum set high-performing programs apart. Seeding ahead of a campaign can boost participation by up to 167%, and higher match rates can lift it by up to 13%.
  • Solving common campaign challenges: Site-wide matching offers let admins run their own matching campaigns without contacting support. First-time campaigns work best with one simple ask, a baseline and one metric that matters. Benevity for Microsoft Teams is available now, Benevity for Slack is coming this winter, and no-login QR codes arrive as early as November.
  • Client spotlights: ENMAX communicated early, doubled the match and kept the ask simple with a “One Good Thing” theme. American Family Insurance extended Giving Tuesday into a full Giving Week with executive sponsorship and a special match.
  • Resources: The Giving Season Resource Hub in the Benevity Community includes the Giving Season Campaign Kit, with a campaign calendar, a customizable AI prompt for drafting communications, a challenges package and a readiness checklist.
